But his untameable spirit soon captured the attention it deserved, and Jag soon began racing sucessfully under Justice Acre's colors. His magnifacent talent carried him through setbacks, jockey changes, and straight to the Winners Circle. Merely days after winning the Breeders Cup Dirt Mile, however, Jag broke down on the practice track and passed away after doing what he loved most. War Flag's liveliness and determination will never be forgotten by those who loved him most. His burial spot is is marked by a scarlet oak tree, which displays the same fire in its leaves that War Flag had in his heart. We will miss you dearly boy.
